A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a non-profit association of local business and commercial property owners. These members work together to improve, promote, and support their downtown or commercial district. In Paris, the BIA drives efforts to keep our historic downtown vibrant, beautiful, and thriving.
The Paris BIA operates as a local board of the municipality. A volunteer Board of Directors governs the organization. It receives funding through a special tax levy paid by commercial property owners within the BIA boundaries. These funds directly support projects and initiatives in the downtown core.
The BIA leads marketing campaigns, beautification efforts, seasonal décor, special events, and streetscape improvements. Each initiative aims to attract visitors, boost business, and create a welcoming atmosphere for the community.
By working collaboratively, BIA members strengthen Downtown Paris. Their shared efforts help local businesses succeed and ensure our town remains a destination people love to visit.
